Benoit Schyns

Benoit Schyns

Physiotherapy, Hand Therapy, Manual Therapy

Benoit is the father of three wonderful children, plays the trumpet, and enjoys riding his motorcycle. He prefers being outdoors, running with his dog, or spending time in his garden. He is spontaneous, approachable, and enjoys a good dose of gezelligheid. You notice that in the practice too: a relaxed atmosphere, but with a clear goal.

In his work, not only the complaint is central, but above all the person behind it. Benoit believes it is important that patients understand what is happening and what is needed for recovery. He focuses on clarity and motivation: recovery is something you achieve together.

Complex cases, in particular, give him energy. The best moment? When someone, despite a serious injury or setback, regains perspective and confidence in their body. Achieving that together is what he does it for.

Luca Berghmans

Physiotherapy, Hand Therapy

Luca is an energetic and sociable person—naturally very calm, yet she prefers to be on the move. She loves sports, plays hockey, and coaches hockey. She enjoys spending time with friends and family. She’s a real busy bee: always active, sometimes a little chaotic, but with enough structure to get everything done. Sitting still isn’t her thing.

During her sessions, Luca takes an open-minded and creative approach. She doesn’t just focus on the symptom, but above all on what a person truly needs at that moment. For her, recovery is a collaborative effort. She believes it’s important to work with the patient to create a plan and work as a team toward improvement—with trust and, at times, a little“tough love” to achieve the best results.

What Luca loves most about her profession is helping people regain confidence in their own bodies and in their daily lives. She believes that recovery goes beyond just getting physically better: it’s also about well-being, self-confidence, and quality of life. By truly listening to who a person is—not just their symptoms—she can make a valuable contribution—not only to the patient’s recovery, but also to their well-being and to society.

Ole de Jong

Physiotherapy, Hand Therapy

Ole is athletic and sociable, with a great passion for rowing. He still gets out on the water regularly and also coaches a competitive team during the week. Outside of work, he enjoys spending his time playing sports, making music, or reading. An active week energizes him, and he enjoys sharing his interests with people who enjoy them just as much.

Attention is central to Ole’s approach. He takes the time to truly listen and wants patients to feel safe and heard. Ole carefully analyzes symptoms and translates them into a clear and appropriate treatment plan. In doing so, he helps people find the right balance between stress and resilience and motivates them to actively participate in their recovery.

What excites him most is solving the puzzle behind a complaint and seeing a plan succeed. Whether it’s a small adjustment or a larger project: setting a goal together, adjusting the process as needed, and ultimately achieving results—that’s what makes his work worthwhile.

Melissa Bakker

Melissa Bakker

Physiotherapy, Hand Therapy, Edema Therapy

Melissa is a social person through and through; people are at the core of who she is. She is happily married, the proud “dog mom” of her Labradoodle, and loves spending time with family and friends—whether it’s going for a walk, having lunch together, working out, or singing at a concert with her sister. Melissa loves an active and spontaneous life where connection is central to everything she does.

Her approach is open, honest, and caring. Melissa strives to make every treatment a relaxed and welcoming experience. Her clear and warm communication style quickly puts patients at ease. She believes it’s important for people to feel heard and seen. For her, trust forms the foundation of a good working relationship, one that focuses not only on the symptom but, above all, on the person.

For Melissa, physical therapy is more than just a profession; it’s an extension of who she is. Everything in her life revolves around people, and in this profession, care, attention, and guidance come together perfectly for her. For Melissa, recovery goes beyond the physical; she guides, motivates, and listens so that people feel stronger not only physically but also mentally. The fact that she can truly make a difference in someone’s life in this way is what makes her work deeply meaningful to her.

Romy Marchal

Physiotherapy, Hand Therapy

Romy loves being on the go, whether it’s to work out, go for a walk, spend time with friends, or just be outdoors. A game of pool or spending time with her boyfriend are definitely part of that. She loves an active and social lifestyle and gets her energy from staying busy and trying new things—you won’t find her sitting still for long. She naturally brings that open and energetic attitude to her work.

In her work, Romy shows who she is: caring, enthusiastic, and genuinely interested in the person behind the complaint. She loves having a full schedule and enjoys working with a wide variety of people. For her, no two treatments are the same, because every person is unique. She takes the time to really engage in conversation, listen, and work together to discover what someone needs to move forward.

The best part of her job is the moment when someone regains confidence in their body. She finds it remarkable to see what people can do again with the right treatment and guidance—and to experience that herself. The interplay between body and mind and its impact on recovery continues to fascinate her. It is precisely when someone rediscovers hope and confidence that she sees the true power of collaboration and recovery.
